LET ME REITERATE
I was talking to one of my boys the other day....mind you is a real Hip Hop dude. Lives and breathes hip hop on the daily. During our conversation he asked me what joints, mc's, albums, songs etc... am I feeling that are out. So I mentioned Little Brother and Blu&Exile. He'd never heard of either. Now I can understand Blu&Exile...but I assumed he heard of Little Brother..just because they do a have a few albums under their belt. He had no clue as to who they were. But he has heard of 9th Wonder (who was a member of Little Brother)..obviously because 9th has made a solid name for himself as a producer in this game. But as far as his work with his former group, my boy was clueless. It just goes to show that there is so much good music out there we don't hear. For the most part we all listen to the radio and then complain that they play the same things over and over..which is basically true. So it almost seems as if there isn't alot of good music out there...but indeed there is. Alot of these artists don't get the radio play they deserve..but they are out there.
Click Here for video from HipHopGameTV where Ebro and Sha Money XL talk about getting in this game.

MC OMAR EPPS
WolfPack - Definition
Ok...by a show of hands, how many of you remember Omar Epps short lived rap career??
Not many I'm sure. Well he was part of a duo called Wolfpack. I remember seeing this video like once, maybe twice back in '95. Actually not a bad track at all. And am I buggin or is that Janet Jacme playing Omar's main chick in the video?!?!.....wow.

BROTHER J..WHAT YA SAY...BROTHER J...
X-Clan - Heed The Word Of The Brother
You already know I'm good for pulling out some good hip hop, new or old. Today I want to travel back to the east BLACKWARDS! This group right here..Powerful. When X-clan came on the scene in 1990, Public Enemy had already made it's mark as strong conscious group in Hip Hop. Professor X, Brother J, Sugar Shaft, Isis and others continued that conscious message with X-Clan. Brother J was lyrically sharp. I always appreciate a brother who was nice and could drop jewels in his verses. He was probably one of the most underated MC's. Their first album..a straight classic. If you're not familiar with X-clan, here's a little history. For now, Enjoy the flashback.
