Nicolay - Shibuya: City Lights Vol. 2 (Album cover & Tracklisting)
Needless to say I'm a fan of good music. Nicolay is one producer that puts out just that. This is an album I am definitely looking forward to hearing. For those of you that like solid beats and good melodies, I recommend picking up this album when it drops on Sept 15th 2009. If you are familiar with Nicolay's work (especially the Foreign exchange albums), you already know this will be right in line with the good grooves he creates. The first single, "Lose your way", seems to set off this album with a nice tone.
Tracklisting:
01 Lose Your Way feat. Carlitta Durand
02 Shibuya Station
03 Crossing
04 Rain In Ueno Park
05 Satellite
06 Saturday Night feat. Carlitta Durand

08 Omotesando
09 Meiji Shrine
10 Shadow Dancing
11 The Inner Garden
12 Bullet Train
13 Wake Up In Another Life

“Deeper Than Rap” (Short Film)
Executive produced by Rick Ross, “Deeper Than Rap” shows the young brother of a successful drug dealer witness the murder of his older sibling and associate while in his home. Filmed with a dark setting and with songs from Ross’ album playing in the background, the film jumps to a present-day image of the protagonist as he has followed in his brother’s footsteps within the drug game. Showing he has a business mentality amongst his associates and partners, the story’s main character faces off with the men responsible for slaying his family.

Diamond D - Bad/Good
The video for “Bad/Good” takes it back to that golden age feel. With no bling, no cars, and no video girls, Diamond reminds us what it was like growing up in the hood. The simple aesthetic of the video, paired with endearing portraits of kids from around the Bronx evokes a feeling not often remembered in today’s hip-hop culture.
Good Music. I think Imma have to throw up an old Diamond D joint just because.
